Self Talk

Staying focused on whatever I am doing is so important!
I have been easily distracted and disordered in my behavior, but now I  have a tool which is always available to me . . .”self talk”!
I used to do it in a way that was detrimental to myself, “don’t you”ll fail” all kinds of negativity, left over from my  “past”. This week someone sent me a sentence that I appreciated!  It said that those of us who live in the “past” are homeless in the present. I really liked that.
I have figured out the power of positive self talk! It works on so many levels . . .delaying behavior, directing behavior, congratulating behavior, encouraging behavior . . .being your own best friend or parent.
It works . . .and you don’t have to wait for someone else to pay attention.  (It is what an affirmation is!)
You are always available to yourself! “I am enough! I have enough!”
